Students need explicit training on fairness, consent, privacy, and accountability, not just technical skills. Cincinnati has a chance to make ethics a living part of the AI curriculum, woven into real cases instead of confined to a single lecture. My sense is that the ultimate success of this grant will depend less on dazzling tools and more on whether Cincinnati graduates physicians who can challenge flawed systems, advocate for vulnerable patients, and insist that technology serve human dignity above all.
